Anti-stain protection reduces the absorbency of natural fabrics by coating every fibre with an invisible UV-stable protective layer.
Soils are easier to clean and spills are easier to blot up. The colour of the fabric is not altered by the application of the anti-stain protector.

Where and when can it be applied?
Stain protection can be applied to most fabrics on sofas, carpets, chairs etc and I would especially recommend it for light coloured fabrics, high value items, high traffic or eating areas, or where you have pets or young children.
It is advisable to apply anti-stain protection when the fabric is new or after it has been professionally cleaned.
If you were thinking of having stain protector applied to a new carpet or suite of furniture give me a call; my price for stain protector could be considerably cheaper than that charged by the retailer where you purchased your furnishings!
What are the limitations?
Stain protection will not prevent every stain but it does give you a chance to mop a spill up before it is fully absorbed. Although the stain protector will not completely prevent carpet or upholstery from soiling, it will make it easier to remove, both in terms of vacuuming and professional carpet cleaning. Abrasive, gritty soiling may still penetrate the protective coating on the fabric regular cleaning is still important even on protected carpets and upholstery.
