Any spills should be dealt with immediately by blotting with a soft absorbent cloth, then cleaned, conditioned and protected as required. Avoid using products that may damage or dry out the leather furniture.
Leather upholstery can dry out and crack more easily through constant exposure to heat sources such as fireplaces or radiators if placed too close.
Constant exposure to sunlight will lead to fading in leather upholstery as with all materials but may also lead to additional drying out of the leather and in turn to cracking.
